ACG participates in Pharmtech Moscow.
 

ACG worldwide had a prominent presence at the Pharmtech 2007 show in Moscow during 20-23rd November ,07 with temperatures dipping to minus 10 degrees, outside, it was the enthusiasm of the ACG team that kept the atmosphere at the stall warm. The response to the show was very good and there were fruitful business meetings with customers and agents who had come in from Russia, Ukraine and other neighboring countries.
The capsules display was a hit with visitors and many of them lined up the take photographs of the display. From the engineering companies of ACG, the Legacy 6100 tablet press, the AF 40 capsule filling machine and the Hi Cart automatic cartoning machine were on display.

 

Pam welcomes German delegates.
 

A German delegation visit to Pam was organised by VDMA in the month of November 2007.
The VDMA (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau - German Engineering Federation) is one of the key association service providers in Europe and offers the largest engineering industry network in Europe.
The team comprised of senior management persons from some reputed German companies. The visit was presided over by Mr. Ajit Singh. The team went back with an excellent opinion about Pam and the progress India has made in precision technology.

Alcan Packaging Seminar held at Lonavla

Alcan Packaging in association with Packshield Division of ACG Worldwide organized a Seminar on “Flexible Laminates for Pharmaceutical Packaging ” at Fariyas Resort , Lonavla from 15th to 16th November, 2007 .

The focus of Seminar was on Quality Assurance and Quality Control aspects of Pharma Packaging materials. About 120 delegates from the Pharma Industry participated in the Seminar. The main speakers at the event were Mr. Alfred Nabers, Head of Quality Assurance at Alcan Packaging Singen GmbH, Germany, Mr. Karl-Friedrich Buschmann and Mr. Thomas Schwarz.

A presentation on Tropical Blister Packaging Technology from Mr. Sanjeev Tamhan of Pam – Pac evoked interest from the participants since this concept has potential to fight against counterfeiting of formulations.
Delegates were invited to an entertaining evening and Gala Dinner on the first day of the Seminar in a lively ambience and a Lucky Draw was organized for the delegates with exciting prizes.

The Seminar was appreciated by the industry and delegates gave feedback that they look forward for such event from Alcan & Packshield.


Packshield wins award from OPPI
The Organization of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI) presented their annual awards of excellence, which were initiated to recognize honour and encourage outstanding performance in the pharmaceutical sector. Associated Capsules Pvt. Ltd., part of the ACG Worldwide, won the OPPI Best Vendor Award, for their performance in the category of “raw material suppliers” whereas Packshield also a part of ACG Worldwide won the award in the category of “packaging material suppliers”.
 
ProPak Asia

ProPak Asia is the leading professional exhibition for all processing and packaging machinery, materials and related technology.
ProPak Asia which held during June 13-16, 2007 was the 15th international processing and packaging technology event for Asia & staged at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) in three halls comprising 16000m.
Pam participated in this exhibition with its agent whereas Pam-Pac, Associated Capsules & Packshield participated the show with a separate stall.

 
Pharmintech, European trade show

Pharmintech, European trade show devoted to the pharmaceutical industry, made its debut in Bologna, Italy, June 12-14,2007. The show was sponsored by Ipack-Ima srl, an organizer of processing and packaging trade exhibitions throughout Europe.

Pharmintech was held in Bologna Exhibition Complex, one of Europe's most active and prestigious exhibiting locations.


Honeywell – ACG Worldwide Technical Seminar

ACG Worldwide in partnership with Honeywell and in association with its group companies, Packshield and Pam – Pac had organized a Seminar on “ Packaging with Aclar – Trends, Technology and Innovation ” at Scitech Centre on Friday, March 23, 2007.
Major and leading pharma companies represented by about 60 delegates had participated in the event.
Mrs. Pratibha Pilgaonkar of Rubicon Research was the Keynote speaker and she presented a paper on opportunities and trends in Indian Pharma Industry with respect to its foray into regulated markets and the opportunities for using Aclar as a barrier blister packaging material for certain novel drugs.
Mr. Steve Ervin , Head of Sales from Honeywell U.S.A. and Dr. Anjan Ray , Director Business Development from Honeywell India presented an overview of Honeywell’s global and India’s business and product initiatives.
Mr. Walter Grupp was the technical speaker from Honeywell and he presented various technical aspects of Aclar films, their usage for pharma blister packaging & packaging development tools likeBarrier Calculator & Value Calculator.

ACG has been partnering Honeywell since last four years as convertor for Aclar film and has developed Aclar business in India from a nascent stage to a point where all the major pharma companies have become users of Aclar laminates. This initiative has been in – line with ACG policy as a trusted and long term partner to its valued customers for bringing innovative products to the Indian Pharma Industry.
 
PAM Glatt 10 years celebration

Pam Glatt a joint venture initiative of ACG Worldwide and Glatt International, GmbH was founded in 1996. In 2007, even after a decade, Pam Glatt continues to provide technological excellence to Indian pharmaceutical business.

A ceremony to commemorate Ten Years of Partnership and Growth was held on Saturday, 10th Feb 2007 at the Pam Glatt factory, Mira Rd, Mumbai. Mr Werner Glatt, founder director of Glatt Corporation along with the other directors of Pam Glatt and ACG Worldwide joined in for the celebrations. The celebration was preceded by the inauguration of the new expanded wing of Pam Glatt that will house the manufacturing of the Pam Glatt coaters.

The inauguration of the new factory building was followed by a seminar on 'containment systems' at SciTech Centre of advanced learning. The seminar was well received by over a 100 delegates from the pharma industry who attended the session.

PAM Plot 100 inauguration

The new manufacturing site of Pam located at plot 100 in Kandivili, Mumbai was inaugurated on Monday, February 26th by Mr D Wilson and Mr J Gordon. The Pam Legacy 6100 was commissioned by Mr Gordon in the demo room on the factory shop floor on this occasion.

These ceremonies were followed by speeches by the guests, the directors of ACG Worldwide and the Nandadevi team members. This Pam team and the ACG group company heads were present to celebrate this great milestone in Pam's growth path.

TROPAC wins the PACMACHINE 2006 award

Tropical Blister Packing machine – TROPAC, from Pampac Machines Pvt. Ltd. won the PACMACHINE 2006 award.

The award function organized by the Indian Institute of packaging in the Leela Kempenski Hotel, Mumbai on 13th December 2006. The eminent jury for judging the entries consisted of Dr. S. D. Awale – Director NITIE, Mr. K. Murari – Addl. Director ERTL, Dr. K. G. Narayankhedkar – Director, VJTI & Mr. Rajeev Dhar – Director IIP.

ACG Worldwide participates in Pharmtech 2006

ACG Worldwide participated in Pharmtech Moscow, an exhibition held in Moscow , Russia from 20 – 23 rd November 2006.
A range of engineering & consumable products that included Blister packing, capsule filling machines and different types of Capsules and Packaging films was displayed in this exhibition.
Legacy 6100 – the futuristic tabletting machine from Pam was inaugurated in grand style. The exhibition was a grand success.

ACG Technotrip is a smashing success during IPC Mumbai
ACG Worldwide had organized a Techno trip to its R & D Centre for the visitors in the IPC 2006 exhibition held in Mumbai , India from 1 – 3 rd December 2006. The visitors were taken on the trip to experience the latest technology in Solid Dosage System. It was a great success with people coming in large numbers.
ACG Worldwide participates in Indiapack 2006
ACG Worldwide now caters to many sectors and businesses other than Pharmaceuticals. It participated in a non-pharma exhibition for the first time in Indiapack 2006. The exhibition was held in Mumbai , India from 11 – 14 th December 2006.
On the display were the various barrier and flexible packaging films, online check weigher, special purpose cartooning machine “AT – Pac” and various samples of ranging from blisters & cartons to pouches showing our capability.
It won the second prize for “Technology in Packaging” at the Indiapack show for the machines exhibited in the stall.
 
Ajit Singh get the “Distinguished Service Award“

Mr Ajit Singh, Chairman - ACG Worldwide (formerly Associated Capsules Group) was conferred upon the IPA Distinguished Services Award at a felicitation dinner function held on Dec 1 st , 2006. Mr Subodh Priolkar, President IPA presented the award.This award is bestowed on Mr. Ajit Singh for his meritorious contribution to the Indian Pharmaceutical Association, the pharma industry and the profession of pharmacy in India .

ISPE Symposium
ISPE conducted Q7A SYMPOSIUM on 28th & 29th April '06 in Hyderabad. Mr. Ajit Singh addressed the welcome note. Mr. Satish Reddy, M.D. & C.O.O., Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, was the keynote speaker who spoke on the General Scenario of Pharma Industry - today and in future. Various eminent speakers addressed over 200 delegates on topics like - steriles, WHO philosophy, regulatory approach, chemicals, etc.
ACG had promoted ISPE & Mr. Ajit Singh is its Chairman. The learning from ISPE is our contribution to the industry.
ACG participates in ACHEMA 06
ACG Worldwide's participation in ACHEMA - an exhibition held in Frankfurt, Germany from 15-19th May was a grand success. A range of engineering & consumable products that included Blister packing, capsule filling machines and different types of Capsules and Packaging films was displayed in this exhibition. The launch of Liquid in hard gelatin capsules technology - Fluidocap featured in ACHEMA Times. Mr. Ajit Singh spoke on the Indian Pharma industry on the India Day forum.
Mr. Ajit Singh elected as President of CRS
The Control Release Society (CRS) is a worldwide organization to educate scientists, technologists and marketing personnel in the pharmaceutical industry interested in newer delivery systems. This includes solid dosage forms like tablets, capsules, pellets, etc. The Indian chapter of CRS has elected Mr. Ajit Singh as its President for the 2006-08 period.
India - CIS Pharma Summit 2006
ACG Worldwide participated in the India - CIS Pharma summit 2006 held on the March 3-5, 2006 at Hotel Leela - Mumbai. The event was organized by Pharmexcil and Ministry of Commerce & Industry. The Indian Regulatory Authorities and CIS countries Regulatory Authorities spoke on regulatory requirements in India and CIS and also current scenario in India and CIS countries. The event was attended by around 200 delegates, which included importers, buyers, government & regulatory authorities from India & abroad.
Participation in Pharmtech 2005 Russia
ACG Worldwide, along with its distributor in Russia, participated in PharmTech 2005, an exhibition held in Moscow, Russia, held during Nov 28 - Dec 2, 2005. A team of 6 ACG members displayed the various Pam, Pam-pac & ACPL products.
Brimrose Seminar in Scitech Centre
A seminar on Brimrose AOTF NIR Reality for Process Control was held at Scitech Centre on February 10, 2006. Mr. Igor Nazarov, Head - Spectrometer Division, Brimrose, USA and Mr. Sabyasachi Goswami, Manager - Sales, Asia, CAMO Software India Pvt. Ltd. were the speakers. From ACG Worldwide Mr. Shabbir Badami spoke about the various R & D machines developed by Pam. On display were the capsules and the R & D machines from Pam & Pam-Glatt.
Seminar on Fluid Bed Processing
In pursuit helping Indian Pharma Industry, PamGlatt hosted a seminar on "Fluid Bed Processing - From Art to Science" on Wednesday, October 26th, 2005 at our Scitech Centre. The keynote speakers were Dr. Bernhard Luy, Technical director of Glatt, Germany, he discussed " Thermodynamic principle of Fluid Bed Processing", Mr. Klaus Groeschel, Director business co-ordination for India & USA briefed the importance of Total Containment - Requirement & solutions. Mr. Mehernosh Engineer, Director, Klenzaids group spoke about "Total containment systems in Indian perspective".
Considering the relevance of the topic, the representatives of all major pharmaceutical R&D centres attended the seminar. The members of ISPE were also present for this event. This was a good opportunity to update and interact with all the R&D professionals.
Presence of R&D representatives of all major Pharmaceuticals companies created a coveted platform for launch of PamGlatt's R&D model - GPCG1.1. PamGlatt released their first R&D model catalogue.
PAM Glatt organise Seminar on Qualitative Evaluation of Spray Film Coating.
With an increasing number of sustained and modified release particles and molecules being developed and marketed by pharma companies, understanding of the process of particle coating for various applications is necessary, said Klaus Eichher in his presentation on particle microencapsulation.

Ajit Singh Nominated the Fellow of American Association of Indian Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAIPS).
Mr. Ajit Singh, the Chairman of Associated Capsules Group was nominated Fellow of the American Association of Indian Pharmaceutical Scientists, being the first person resident outside the United States to be honored.

Jasjit Singh recounts how he and his brother Ajit Singh had to take over a non-commissioned capsule factory on the untimely death of their father, four decades ago. They haven't looked back since then. PAM Launches Asia's First Rotary Filling Machine
The PAM team has once again proven its mettle by successfully commissioning Asia's first Rotary Filling Machine, the Pam RF 120. The roll out function of the first RF 120 was graced by Mr. Jasjit Singh, Director, ACG Worldwide. The RF 120, with its accurate fill weights and high powder yield is ideal for dedicated high volume formulations and has an output of 120,000 capsules per hour.
